JESUS LOVES YOU!
The Bible tells us the love Jesus has for us. In the Bible, some verses help us
understand why we need Jesus and what Jesus has done for us.
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
This verse tells us that everyone has sin and because of that sin, we have fallen
short of the mark God has set for everyone.
Romans 5:8
But God proves His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
The verse before told us that we were sinners. In this verse we are told because of
God’s love He sent Christ to die for the sinners.
Why?
Jesus had to shed His blood to cover the sins of world that God and His people
may be brought back together again. God and Jesus did that for you.
Romans 6:23
For the wages (or cost) of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
We see in this verse that the sin in Romans 3:23 brings death. There had to be a
cost or payment for the sin in our lives. With the love, that God has for you in
Romans 6:23 and Christ dying for our sins. God has given us a FREE gift.
The FREE gift is eternal life with God.
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness,
and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
To receive this FREE gift one must accept Jesus as Savior. In Romans 10:9-10 the
Bible tells us how we can do that. We must confess with our mouth, and believe (or trust)
in our heart that Jesus was raised from the dead. The heart is very important here.
The heart is the center of the person and if one gives their heart to Christ, they are making
Jesus the center of whom they are. Verse 10 explains, it is the heart of the person that believes,
which results in righteousness, and confesses that Jesus is Lord; salvation will come to that person.
Romans 10:13
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Jesus loves you! He knows you better than anyone does. He know where you have been,
where you have come from, and what you have done. You may think there is no way
Christ can love you or accept you. Notice, however, Romans 10:13 says “WHOEVER”.
This means anybody. No matter where they came from, where they have been, and
what they have done Jesus loves them, and is ready to forgive them, and restore them
to a right relationship with God. All you have to do, is trust Jesus in your heart, ask Jesus for
forgiveness of sin, and confess Jesus as Savior and Lord, and Jesus will save you.
Would you be willing to trust Jesus as Savior?
Pray to Jesus and ask for forgiveness.
